Now Corso Castel San Giorgio, it was part of the ancient structure of the port and the town, where the Adriatic Sea arrived. The harbour was delimited by  three large arches, where the boats docked. It is also possible to take a walk along the castle walls until you come to the Torre Merlata (tower crowned with swallow-tail bettlements).
